Technology Helpline Hours for January
The Technology Services Helpline will reopen on January 2, after the holiday break, and will be available to assist you from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Until then, we wish you the happiest of holidays!
Windows 7 Support Ending
Microsoft support for Windows 7 ends on January 14, 2020. Security updates will no longer be provided after this date. We encourage you to email helpline@gustavus.edu before this deadline to learn more about available options. Technology Services is committed to working with you to ensure this transition occurs as swiftly and painlessly as possible.

Holiday Break Voicemail Greetings
This is a reminder to change your voicemail greeting to accommodate your schedule during the break. An Extended Absence Greeting is ideal for breaks. Your Personal Greeting is reinstated as soon as the Extended Absence Greeting is deleted. You will be prompted to delete or retain when you access your voice mailbox.
Instructions:
- Call the system and enter your password
- Press 4 – Personal Options
- Press 3 – Greetings
- Press 2 – Extended Absence Greetings
- Listen to the instructions
- Press * to exit until you hear “Good-Bye”.
This will enable callers to decide if they should still leave you a message. If you have any questions or need assistance in changing your message, please call the Telecommunications Office, x6261 or email lmccabe@gustavus.edu.
