Get the most out of your Gustavus Zoom Account!

Technology Services would like to remind you to sign into your Gustavus Zoom account prior to attending virtual classes and meetings. The College has partnered with Zoom to give you access to a variety of features that you may not have with another account. It also affords easier access to virtual events as it often allows the host to quickly determine your identity. To ensure you are taking advantage of these and other benefits of your institution-sponsored Zoom account, please sign in using all of the following methods:

Using the Zoom Application

Signing in with this method ensures that Zoom links that trigger the installed app will utilize your institutional account.

  • Open the Zoom application / client that is installed on your computer
    • Mac – go to applications > Click on Zoom to open
    • PC – go to the start menu > Type in Zoom > Click on Zoom to open
  • Log out by clicking the face in the upper right and select Sign Out
  • Click “sign in”
  • At the Zoom login screen, click “Sign in using SSO”.
  • Enter “hellogustavus” for the company domain and click “continue”
  • Sign in to your Gustavus account

Using the Website

Signing in with this method gives you easy access to adjust your institutional account settings.

Using Google Calendar

Signing in with this method will ensure that scheduled Zoom meetings will use the correct institutional account.

  • Visit your Gustavus Google Calendar (https://gustavus.edu/google)
  • Click the blue and white camera icon on the right side of your Calendar
  • Click “sign in” from the panel that appears
  • Click “sign in with SSO” on the right side of the pop-up window
  • Enter “hellogustavus” for the company domain and click “continue”
  • Sign in to your Gustavus account
  • Authorize G Suite to access your Zoom account
