One of the good indications that Perry is getting really close to blooming is that on Wednesday at 1:00pm the bracts fell off. By looking at other Titan Arums it seems like the bracts fall about 2 or 3 days before it blooms. If you are interested, we happened to catch the event with our security camera software. The video of the left bract falling in “real time” at about 1 frame per second can also be found on youtube.

I also have new time lapse from May 8th to May 10th. Looks like Perry is still growing.
As was mentioned in Brian’s post, our live streaming video via ustream.tv does have some glitches but since they upgraded some things this morning, it has been very reliable. We will try to keep an eye on it and restart it whenever we notice it is down.
And finally tonight, even though Brian says Perry can’t sign autographs, it appears that he has his own facebook account. Hopefully he will invite me to his blooming event.
