Adobe Acrobat Pro 12 end of life Posted on June 18th, 2020 by

Adobe Acrobat Professional 12 (or 2015) is the last version of Acrobat before Adobe moved to the Creative Cloud licensing model. This product will be end of life on July 7th and will no longer be available on Gustavus computers.  Please note that Adobe Acrobat is available in two versions.  To determine if you require Adobe Acrobat Pro on your computer, please review the information below.

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Features

  • View PDF files
  • Fill out fillable PDF files
  • Cost: Free

Adobe Acrobat Professional DC Features

  • Create PDF files
  • Edit PDF files
  • Cost: Requires an individual Creative Cloud license purchased by department,  please reach out to GTS for more information

How do I know if I need Adobe Acrobat Professional?

Adobe Acrobat Professional is only needed if you need to Create or Edit PDF files. If you are just reading PDF files or filling in predefined form, you only need the free version of Adobe Acrobat called Adobe Acrobat Reader.

How do I obtain a license for Adobe Acrobat Pro DC?
