If you have never used it, you’ll be sorry that you didn’t know about it sooner. There is a brilliant tool for looking up anything in the ColdFusion documentation. It’s called CFDocs.org and it’s a definite time-saver.
How it works: you set a cookie on your computer that tells CFDocs.org what version of ColdFusion you are using. Then you perform a serach and it will bring you straight to the page you are looking for in the Macromedia LiveDocs. If it doesn’t find your search query, it will perform a Google search for you.
However, the best feature is that you can type your search query into the url, following cfdocs.org. So, if I wanted information on the cfdump tag, i would type cfdocs.org/cfdump into my address bar and it will bring me straight to the LiveDocs page for cfdump.
