The Gustavus Men’s Golf coach, Scott Moe, is in Toyota City, Japan right now. He was selected as the coach for the U.S. Junior Boys’ National Team at the Toyota World Junior Cup. From the athletics site:
The 2005 World Junior Golf Cup is being played at the Chukyo Golf Club Ishino Course in Toyota City, Aichi, Japan. Joining defending champion America will be Argentina, Belgium, Canada, Chinese Taipei, Colombia, England, India, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, South Africa, Spain and Zimbabwe. A champion will be crowned on Friday.
Since we all thought that this was a prestigious honor for Scott Moe as well as Gustavus, we have created a blog for Scott to write in while he is in Japan.
Update: The tournament in Japan is now over, and Gustavus’ Scott Moe directed the U.S. Junior National team to its second consecutive Toyota World Junior Cup title. You can read the news article about it or Scott Moe’s blog.
